I’m a scholar of religion, gender, and media. I have a Ph.D. in religion with a secondary field in anthropology from Harvard University. In my research, I use historical and ethnographic methods to study twenty-first century Christianity. My research and teaching interests include religion and politics, women’s religious history, and religious media. Originally from California, I hold a B.A. in Religious Studies from Stanford University and a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary.
